Hi Magdalen,
As far as I can see the two Gnostic Gospels, often cited as evidince for the Holy Bloodline, don't make any reference to the idea of a bloodline stemming from Jesus. In fact, they don't even say that Jesus had children. There are a few versus which some interpret as Jesus having had a sexual relationship with Mary but I think, upon close study of the particualr verses, these interpretations are misfounded.
The idea of a Holy Bloodline, IMO, negates the message that Jesus brought, ie, that the future Kingdom will be born out of the spirit and not out of man made political rulership.
IMHO, the Grail is a spiritual concept and has to do with how we relate to eachother and how generously we give and serve. It doesn't depend on seeking out worldly power through political means and to look for it by climbing the greasy pole of politics is only going to end up in a wild goose chase, not dissimilar to the plot of a novel like "The DaVinci Code".
I find it quite disturbing that Jesus' spiritual teachings are being used by some for worldly political advancement.
How do you fell about the agenda of this "bloodline"?
regards
Rob
