Mark, I thought I would just throw in this word Nestorism. Some authorities think that Nestorism was an ancient Christian sect that found its way to India. However, the word "Nestor" seems to be related to a name of Buddhism and/or Saivism: Na-Setra, meaning, fettered to Shiva or Buddha. I also see some relationship between "gnostic" and "na-setra."
