Dear Rob, I also feel that some of these "Christs" (Krstas), such as King Cyrus, probably did not even want to be "Messiahs." Some of their disciples or admirers just made it seem that they were. I've read many accounts of Cyrus' life. He certainly wouldn't have been my idea of a Messiah. By the way, about Lord Krishna. There is an important Krishna holiday on the 25th of December, also. A Hindu friend and I exchange yearly Christmas greetings this way: I wish him a merry Iesus Krishna Mahisa (Mahisa is a Sanskrit sord for Messiah), and he wishes me a Merry Jesus Christmas.
