Hi Fiascohoho,
Your new here aren't you!
Legitimate posting or not, your posting was a rude attempt aimed at interfering with the moderation process in a rebellious way and giving an unasked for opinion. When one subscribes to a GHMB account, it is on the condition that one DOES accept that the board is moderated by people other than yourself, and that moderators often have good reason to make comment which is sometimes beyond contributor's reasoning to see.
The advice I gave to Jergat is based on my experience (having been the first moderator to be active on GHMB over the past 3/4 years). If too many start postings of a similar nature are made this can lead to topics scrolling off the board quickly, can cause scattered posts around the board and cross threads. So, rather than see 'certain moderators' as "over zealous" and "intimidating", why not see it in proper context - it's just a piece of advice to bear in mind for future postings.
So I hope you can put yourself in the moderators shoes in retrospect and realize we are not as draconian as you would have others believe, even though it is stated in the Code of Conduct, "The decision(s) of the Moderating Team and Web-Editor are final and unconditional on any Message Board issues concerning Postings, Topics or Posters."
Cheers,
Fuzzy
