I would suggest that all original musical themes- valid melody lines-, are in fact 'astral entities' that manifest in an earthly form in musical notation rather than a human form.

This is not exactly 'channeling'- which suggests the intervention of a go-between; it is just that composers are receptive to the 'overtures'
- pun intended- of these astral entities.
