Hi Fuzzy,
The only reason why I mentioned the Egyptian texts was to illustrate the fact that ALL religious texts are pooh poohed from various quarters. However, it's not my style to go round pooh poohing other peoples' beliefs with crude remarks!
I don't believe the Bible deserves to be pooh poohed but in any case, my belief is that the age of Christianity is coming to an end and the sooner the better - it was never meant to last forever but it's not just Christianity that's reaching closure!
The fact is, the world is a far different place to what people most people think it is. I'm not even sure what it is, in its entirety, myself but it's certainly not what CNN portrays it as. Like it or not, the Bible confirms this but then, so do other belief systems. I no longer need the Bible to see it because I've learned how to explore the world independently through my own effort. I don't need a book anymore to tell me that the world is governed by different forces than what most people think of!
I'm having a great time discovering that which has been deliberately kept hidden and no amount of pooh poohing is going to change that!
By the way, what source do you have that in the Middle Ages, 33,000 mistakes were found in the Bible. I'd like to analyse this information, thanks!
