No problem, next time Ill reread the posts three times to make sure Im getting the right context, lol. And Ill be careful to use the right context as well. After reading the other posts I actually agree that the biblical ideas were absorbed or borrowed from other areas such as egypt and India as well as their own beliefs or experiences of the divine. I believe this is the process of spiritual evolution as time progresses. Buddhism sprung from hinduism and retained alot of hindu practices such as yoga etc. It came about when a man saw a need to change his surroundings and help bring the population up to another level. In modern times you see this in the split of the church into different sects such as Protestant, catholic etc. Sometimes old symbols resurface to reinspire us and keep our evolution going forward.A perfect example is the resurfacing of old religions such as wicca or strega which have greatly aborbed other ideas such as the kabbala. One of my teachers is a praticing shaman,( he trained for nine years to achieve this not a two day retreat) in the ojibway tribe. He also is a High Priest with our Alexandrian/Gardenarian coven and just recieved his doctorate in psychology aaaannd discusses other esoteric ideas and philosophy with some "secret" friends. He and his wife did a housecleansing in our townhouse. They found these twodimensional beings that resembled cockroaches in our electrical box area. He said they absorb energy and can take it from humans as well. He also said that you encounter them sometimes on the other planes when he does healing journeys. I found it hard to believe at first as Id never heard of them. When he started smudging I could hear a high pitched screaming sound that echoed in the basement. It was hair raising to say the least. I never even considered two dimensional beings before that. This experience changed my outlook greatly on perceptions and the nature of our reality, so two years later I find myself relating to symbols differently than before and seeing things in a new way.
