Hi Trygve,
>>I think a Common Consciousness model can encompass many of the phenomena we as of today have no scientific terms for; e.g. ghosts (condensed imprints), prayers (synchronized consciousness energy), telepathy (link between closely related nodes), simultaneous scientific discoveries (overflow), and of course reincarnation (access to stored imprints).<<
Others in this Balkanized Village board seem to be touching on this as well: ;)

Are you suggesting a sort of synthesis of science, new age and that ol' time religion? What about certain folk who, while they may be supportive of this "common consciousness" in principle, they themselves resist assimilation?
>>Could it be that the evolvement and strengthening of the analytical layers of consciousness for a period has made us more narcissistic?<<
Could be. Nonetheless, the pool (of common consciousness?) which reflected Narcissus' visage was the same pool in which he drowned . . . there's more than one way, IMHO, to read this traditional wisdom story.
I'd like to hear more. Maybe you could start a new thread?
Regards,
Mark
