Selective perception causes us to think that what we are perceiving (ie something strange and different) is "real", whereas in truth, our personal perception tunes in to what we have personally become aware of....... something "top of mind" to us or even something rumbling in our subconscious, that we then become aware of -( ie something strange and different to what we were previously aware of )- and hence we also become aware of others who are also perceiving things to be strange and different, when in fact there is really nothing different happening at all; only like minds coming together with the same selective perception.
Blimey. I got it out! Hope it makes sense.....
