Sorry, now some will get angry with me. I don't mean to be nasty, I just look at this question because - hmmm I am not quite sure why. I just felt like asking it.

Are Buddhists sinners? Hindus? As far as I know I don't think they see themselves as such.
Not sure about Muslims and Jews either.

But Christians, yes, yes. They have to be, or they could not get saved.

The bible, common to Jews and Christians and to a certain degree the Muslims (as far as I know) tells about the garden of Eden. God put a fruit tree there and everybody assumes it was an apple tree. Who knows!
Anyway, then God said to the first couple of humans (were they married?) that they were not allowed to eat any apple, so why the dickens did he put it there? Rather dumb or nasty or what does everybody think? To see if Adam and Eve would obey?
Strange sort of dad.

I could have predicted they would try a lovely looking Apple. Children have pinched apples from trees ever since, and why not? They are healthy.

But hang on, there was a snake! The snake made Eve do it.
Aren't snakes a symbol of wisdom on the foreheads of the faraohs? And what about the two intertwined snakes on the medical staff, caduceus I think it is called, hm, like the DNAs. Double helix.

Of course we are not angels either, but having inherited a mortal sin from two people who gave birth to children who must have committed incest in order to fulfil God's advice of multiplying (outside the garden of Eden) so much that we are now grossly over populated.
