Like Descartes, I can study the brain and/or the body (or the Universe, for that matter) mechanistically. I can't study what is most important--my Spirituality--with the mechanistic methods of science, but I can intuitively validate that my subjective experiences are real.
The most powerful way to know is through living the Christian Way, day after day, week after week, year after year. You can feel him inside.
Science is more like a game--sometimes very frustrating--like solving a puzzle with pieces missing--leads to paradigm shifts--nothing is for sure--could be really really wrong. But can be improved and tested through experiment.
o, science is always wrong--but getting better; Spirituality is always true--but you must be sincere and persistent
