I will say this, it takes faith to believe either side... Creationism believes in purpose and evolutionists believe in chance. I'm only trying to unite both sides by suggesting that both are possible. Maybe I'm entirely wrong... But I do think that it takes more faith to believe that we happened by chance, especially considering that out of everything that could have have happened, for us to be in exactly the right position under exactly the right conditions, and for all of this to happen and for us to be having this discussion, I just simply don't believe that it is chance, coincidence or anything else that anyone throws at me. I simply believe that it was in some way, in some how, design.
As far as the son, Jesus, I believe that he is the one who recreated this planet and we are his creation. And possibly the creation that was here in the the old world was a creation also. It just so happens to be that it wasn't part of the creators creation. And therein lies the problem. If we are to believe that God is all knowing and omnipotent, how do we understand this conception... Perhaps, by trying to think about our procreation of our children.
How do we condemn our children even though we know that they are wrong? Would we not still love them, inspite of the fact? I can tell you from experience that my children have all taken different paths. I found out the hard way that all that I could do was tell them, what I believed to be the truth and let them figure it out on their own. I can only hope and have faith that they will see the truth and hope and pray that they will not have to learn all of their lessons the hard way, like I did.
Unfortunately, like I have seen in previous discussions about traits being passed down, the Bible says that the sins of the father are passed down to the third and fourth generation. Does that mean that our sins affect the genes that we pass along? Well, I'm not intelligent enough to explain it. All I know is that I have struggled with the same things that my father and grandfather have struggled with. Now I see my children struggling with the same things. Some might say that this is coincidence but I see entirely too many coincidences from the Bible that end up being too true to ignore. And what of the children who are given up for adoption and end up with the same traits as their real parents? Please, I mean no offense for anyone reading this that has been adopted!
Maybe we should talk about how Jesus is the son of God and the spirit is the same as God but all are seemingly different? If it's not for this type of discussion, then we can skip over it. I don't want to make a science discussion purely about religion, even though, it seems as if I keep quiet, it comes up anyway.
