It is not a conscious will of the peacock to survive though, is it. It so happened that the mutations etc that culminated in the wonderful picture of the peacock's tail have resulted in its very successful survival as a species. We, as humans, have been even luckier to have evolved with a capacity, not only to see and admire the aesthetic beauty of it, but also to communicate that sense of wonder to others.Quote
but I would have thot that peacock thing would be an important part of the will to survive?
