You take the survival of the species too far, as if it was the only thing worth considering. Who is it anyway that has decided that species should survive at any cost? Maybe the consciousness who created them in the first place? And there will be a use-by date on us all, rest assured. Lots of species have already been gone from Australia, thanks to the white man, whether they made music or loved. Many animals too make music, and of course people like you will always say that they don't enjoy it, it is only for survival.
I just had a piece of bread with marmalade on it, and I allowed myself to enjoy it. I certainly did not eat it for survival. That is where my vitamins come in.
I don't know about your love life these days, but I survive quite well without it!
