Jim, you are missing Susan's argument. Susan is arguing that supernatural beliefs are 100% fantasy. To the extent a person is not claiming supernatural insight or knowledge Susan’s argument does not apply.
I would consider the creation story in Genesis Jim. The creative action takes place over 6 days, thus it represents an evolutionary scheme. If you really think that these texts are valuable, then you have no reason to disbelieve in evolution. You do have a point with the possible devolution of human beings. Man seems a master in creating disaster. However, I would suggest that we have evolved quite a bit culturally, but morally, not so much.
