Exploring his ideas is okay, especially as he seems to be heading in the direction of trying to see them more clearly and less subjectively, but to say they are true if and when they are evidently false would be hypocriticl in the extreme. But as he has ideas which are quite entrenched and difficult to see and consider in an impartial, detached way, it would be entirely unhelpful to encourage him to reinforce those beliefs which, like those you have, require 100% faith, unsupported by any objective facts.Quote
