You are right that I have had to deal with some very difficult situations, but I did deal with them and you are therefore wrong to think that there are some without explanations. It is because I understood and learnt from them that my life has been a fulfilling and interesting one. Subsequent difficulties were never as severe as the first one.Quote
I saw some things from Susan earlier that I couldn't respond to at the time but I feel for her. She seems like something bad has happened to her that she can't explain,
But that is reality. That is the natural way of things. Just because we humans have the ability to think about life in other ways does not mean that that is the way things should be. They are as they are. What it is clear that our species has done is to try to learn from what has happened and to improve things.Quote
as have all of us. I can't explain why everything happens. This reality is sometimes unbearable. Sometimes those that deserve to die live until they are dependent on those that they don't care for and sometimes the ones that deserve to live are seemingly snuffed out at an early age.
No, that is not so! It is probably morale-boosting for you to think that your ideas are new and unique, but we humans have too many similarities for that to be so.Quote
This, however is not why I started this link. I'm some kind of new thinking that no one seems to understand. Yes
That is somewhat naïve, I'm afraid. The reason the subject is, thank goodness, coming more to the fore and being more widely understood is because the clear objective evidence of scientific progress working and functioning, is evidence that the world is more fully realising its potential. People see the many atrocities carried out in the name of various gods, which are supposedly directing religious belief from - well, what? -beyond time and space? - and start realising that the leaders of those religious beliefs do not have one single item of objective evidence to back them up.Quote
it's based on the Bible but I agree with science also. I don't understand why this is such a touchy subject. Maybe people who haven't been raised in it are offended by it. Or maybe they were raised in it and for some reason it let them down and they rejected it. But there's too much that has come true and even more that is coming true to denie it.
they are all part of our human history. It is the studying of history, and seeing the errors that were made and trying slowly and painfully, to see them in their true light so as to refrain from repeating the horrors that is the way to go.Quote
But I started this talking about the past. It's the past that we argue about. And it can only make sense by intertwining the religious and science beliefs.
Anyone who comes on to these discussion boards and is offended by what others say is in the wrong place and should find other places for their fragile sensitivities!Quote
I certainly didn't mean to offend anyone!
