I don't think that that is a good description really. I ask you a direct question and, because you cannot answer it with anything objective, you put yourself behind your shield of faith belief and fend off the question, or try to accuse me of not being a sufficiently educated person, whereas I am the one who long since realised that all totally faith beliefs are based entirely on humanly thought-up ideas.Quote
Aren't we just going around in circles?
This requires 100% faith.Quote
I've experienced God through the Holy Spirit,
Everything you have learnt about the Holy Spirit and God is via the ideas of other human beings and your own brain’s interpretation of them. Anything about Jesus's holiness, continued existence, ability to love people, hear prayers, etc is based 100% on what other people have thought and said about him. No direct writings of his exist.Quote
learned about Him in an anthropomorphic way through Jesus,
I absolutely believe that you believe that is what you sense, but since it is entirely subjective, you, like many millions of others, are mistaking something imagined for something objective.Quote
and sense His presence inside me--the longer I live, the stronger it feels.
Fine, that's your right to do so, but I personally can positively assure you that the world is moresolid, more exciting, more accessible, and, yes, more directly seeing the sadness in it, but that to me is worth having because I know I am seeing the world and life unshaded, unfiltered, and real, and have been lucky enough to have lived a life in it. This will end within a few years and that is as it should be and is in reality; no whimsical notions of seeing some, any, kind of existence after consciousness ends and my physical remains are cremated.
And thosewho believe that consciousness in some way sort of floates off into space, or some other dimension or something are thinking a delusion.
And here I will go round in a small circle: what is better about your Christian life than my realistic, non-belief one?Quote
That's the Christian way of life..
