Well, yes, but this is a discussion forum where those beliefs are put forward, not just to be blandly or passively accepted as right because someone thinks so. If they want their views reinforced by others with similar views, I am sure there are plenty of places on the internet to do so.

Where do you get the idea that either outweighs the other? It depends entirely on the circumstances. If you are sending a Voyager into space, you will most certainly consider that objective facts far, far outweigh someone's personal and subjective opinions about that. If on the other hand you are choosing a painting or anything at all in the aesthetic part of your life, then objectivity is not really relevant, except in perhaps the consideration of whether it can be re-sold for a profit or something.

The vitally important thing is to be able to distinguish between the two; between, for instance, reality and guesswork. Also to be able to recognise that there is an area where objectivity, the 99.99recurring% variety,
is not possible and therefore that there is an area of 'unknowns'. Each item in that area is, however, different in its level of subject/objectivity.

Not quite sure how I'd read that, but since humans evolved with brains that have language and started asking questions about what this or that is, where did it comne from, etc etc, we can't help continuing in this way.
