Hi Tom, I would just like to say that hallucinations are real hallucinations. They can be Inner events like dreams or perceptions like steam rising off a road can look like a pond from a distance. These experiences are real, they are just not the same as looking at more static aspects of the world about us.

Actually, the brain probably does but it is pretty complicate and we may not fully understand these processes yet.

They do it for money Tom. People love being entertained and will pay handsomely for it. Think of a Game of Thrones, or Harry Potter. That is simply who we are. IMO.
