As I understand it, happiness is an emotion, and I have no need to doubt that for all human beings the area of the brain which reacts when they personally feel what they call happiness will be very similar in every one. :How each person would describe how they felt at the time is, again, entirely individual and will have a great deal to do with their surroundings since birth, the culture in which they have lived, etc etc.Quote

Happiness does not involve any kind of imagined spirit external to the human being. If anyone does think it does involve such a spirit or something, then the onus is on them to provide the observable evidence.
