But when I challenged them they showed me their version of the Bible and it read “thou SHALT read the bible in the day and night etc, etc.” Thats books for ya, just write one that suits ones purpose

Book reading is fraught with issues, mistranslation, political bias and the lust for power. We must link into the source of life within us (but thou shalt meditate there in day and night) and using the foundation of that union to reap the rewards of Peace, gratitude for life, a calmness of mind and a growing compassion for all that is. Remember the words of that Sufi/Bakti yoga bands bharjan?
“You read so many books to know it all,
but you never tried to read your own self,
you run to temples and mosques,
but never entered your own heart.
Book reading will only confuse us, look inside. Or as the song says 'Enough of outward knowledge my friend', be a True Gnostic, Know by experience.
