My "filter" in listening to Rupert is the filter of the American scientist. My experiences talking (or rather not talking) about religion to fellow scientists was radically different from Rupert's described experiences.
Listening to Rupert was the first time I realized this.
The reason I don't consider you a very good atheist is that you are such an uninformed atheist--both in terms of philosophy and science. The real atheists have contributed greatly to spiritual discussions within scientific discussions--even Dawkins.
To understand how I come to that impression, you really need to listen to Rupert.
