Ray, I really like this guy, I came across him some years ago and have been following his works for sometime. He is a real character, a kind of old English type of professor and he is so well read, he's got degrees and masters in many fields, his work in India at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Hyderabad on new cropping systems shows his quality. He has many good lectures out there. What the materialist (for want of a better word) scientists who challenge him find is that he has in general a great knowledge base than they have and holds his own every time. In one film I particularly like he calls Dan Dennet a Liar and he is in the audience! Dennet gets up at Q+A and asks him to withdraw the statement but Rupert just tells him again that either knowingly or unknowingly he was telling lies, Dennet shuts up! Another story I love he tells, is about going to find out how constant the speed of Light actually is, the interaction is hilarious.
He did a talk about his life and finding God you may like it. It has many anecdotes from his life, one is of an interaction with an India Guru which I wont spoil by repeating now, but it is absolutely hilarious. What kind, loving and gentle man.
