Nice to see some people practicing/learning to focus. Keeping centered in this crazy world, is difficult but rewarding. Here's a comedy vid about meditation [www.youtube.com] Puppet Ji 3 min. lol.
Have you noticed that some people when they are concentrating hard on a task, they often stick their tongue out a short way? In Tai Chi, Lee Family System, when one is practicing the form, you are taught at higher stages to fold the tongue slightly up to touch the roof of the mouth or if that makes the little bit of skin under your tongue sore, lower the height, perhaps just above the back of your top set and the piece of skin will stretch a bit each day allowing you to go higher. In some Yogas this method is refined to a point where the tongue will go right up the nasal passage and sit there quite happily. But just finding a place that is comfortable works fine. The holding of the tongue takes some concentration of mind which slows it down/quietens it. It is subtle but it works. One could also practice the Pranayama, well you are breathing all the time anyway. all the best Malc
