Sean Carroll stated
Every human being goes through a process of aging over the course of their life, from a young child to an older adult. The universe, too, changes as it ages—from the hot, dense Big Bang to its cold, empty future.

I found it ironic that Dr. Caroll described the aging of a human and the aging of our Universe is so similar a fashion. The passage is from Chapter 7, Arrow of Time, in his book “The Big Picture: on the Origins of Life, Meaning , and the Universe itself.”

Now what do I mean but “transcendence” of Aging? Something is transcendent when it is across from us over there. The Universe is everything surrounding us “out there”. It transcends us. Now something immanent is something inside of us , for example, our form of aging.

Now I am not sure whether Dr. Carroll wants to compare an older adult to the Universe’s cold, empty future but in some cases, I suppose we could!

So there you have it, the pattern of aging in the Universe is similar to the pattern of aging in human beings. Now does that ironic or odd to you or do you think that it should just be expected as we immanences are but products of a transcendent Universe?

Edited to remove an extra aging!
