I dont think God takes sides! That is what Susan did not like during ww2, that both the allied and the Germans and their buddies claimed God to be on their side. Her father was religious, and I think he thought God was on their side, so she evolved (lovely word) into an atheist.
It is still a big problem about where God is, which side. I believe inside all of us, so we are fighting ourselves.
We must drop the idea that God is "out there" only. Looking "down"! It is a leftover from the weather gods.
