Susan from another thread called evilution: Evolution doesn't care what its species are doing, it only does (not, of course, with aforethought, ) what its programming makes it do - until its creatures do not have an adaptation to a change in environment which means very possibly that it will become extinct
Programming. It needs a thinking mind to program. Or a better word, but such seems to be lacking. Emerging is a buzz word, though. Something emerged out of nothing, shortly after (before?) the dot, called Big Bang. Our consciousnesses emerged out of the growing brain.
Not good enough for me, sorry.
As for extinction of species: we have made 60% extinct already - since 1970.
