First let me say that I do not expect any evidence I present here will change your mind – or change the mind of any sceptic.
That is because it is not objective, has not been verified,, experiments or tests cannot be set up, etc.
Quote

I understand that people feel uncomfortable when told that supernatural event can actually happen
'uncomfortable' is entirely the wrong word for the sceptics I know. More to the point, it is those who believe in things supernatural who, I would imagine, feel uncomfortable because their cherished beliefs cannot be proved!
Quote

The other thing is that there can never be the type of proof you are demanding.
I do not demand proof, I simply challenge assertions and ask for facts - which never appear!
Quote

Yet the proof issue is also a problem for the mainstream. Darwin could never prove we evolved yet his theories were accepted – so why don’t you ask for proof that species evolved?
There's one thing above all that I have learnt in more recent years, and that is that science never claims 100% proof ... as I have pointed out quite often. The fact remains that the TofE has not only stood the test of time but has been strengthened by discoveries since.
Quote

In regard to my post and the TED talk by Russell Targ. Targ never claimed to be able to prove remote viewing existed but that he was able to present ample compelling evidence that it is a real phenomenon. Targ also said that while the evidence was not proof - the evidence was so overwhelming that its denial would seem to be absurd.
Since the 'compelling' and 'overwhelming' evidence has not been accepted as a Theory and is still subjective, I'm afraid he will find that his beliefs cannot be more than interesting stories, unless of course he can devise tests which take things a step forward towards objectivity.

In a more general sense, with 100 billion stars in 100 billion galaxies, we must ask if it is logical to believe we are alone? Or is it more likely that we are part of a greater, universal, life entity? And the explanations we are given leave us in absolute bewilderment. That is; the energy in all those stars emerged from nothing in what we call a big bang – and it is all held together by a thing called gravity – and that life got started here, and nowhere else, in Darwin’s primordial soup?
But what you are saying here is already outdated. The more that is understood about the elements and formation of stars, the more it is realised that there could well be forms of bacterial life or goodness knows what throughout the universe. The likelihood of life evolving as it has on Earth, though, depends on there being an atmosphere and the circumstances which formed it. (Refs: 'Living With The Stars' by Karel and Iris Schrijver, 'Wonders of the Universe' and 'Wonders of the Solar System' by Prof Brian Cox)
Quote

I know this post is about reincarnation – but if you are looking for evidence of the paranormal then I suggest you google Phoenix Lights. Were the 10,000 people who claimed to see the lights all delusional? Or would you believe a government that said they were flares – the same government that told us 2 planes brought down 3 towers on 9/11?
No, I'm not *looking for evidence* - been there, done that, got the T-shirt!! - but I retain my life-long interest in finding out about things and will still be reading with interest until I no longer can! As for the two examples you quote, well, there will always be areas of 'don't-know-exactly' but inserting a supernatural solution is the wrong way to go towards finding the best answer.
