that depends on what we do, and hopefully not from a solopsist, selfish point of view,
or as another poster asked recently "all our progress is nothing"?,
so what's the point?
there's a lot that could be discussed from addressing this post that contains so much emptiness and nihilism,
something from nothing?
why would a god do this to itself, unless it was crazy?,
or just as crazy, the unforeseeable, uncontrollable six sided god of chance?
(oops, a little flowery)
it does all seem like a pointless absurd nonsense, sometimes,
and it can feel like the mask of modern civilised society could slip at any time,
given the right push,
but only if your looking from somewhere that has the mask,
there is savagery somewhere
the joker said something like "it only takes one bad day to turn you into me",
I like quotes, whether ancient scripture, song lyric or fictional character,
because, its just people and words, and sometimes they hit with some, and sometimes they don't,
and as the barenaked ladies sang, "its all been done"
so if existence is a pointless tool, do we give it a point,
we do have a history of refining tools,
"is this a test?, it has to be, otherwise I can't go on"-tool
but if you believe its all pointless, then it won't matter, or make a difference to you,
but it might to someone else
so it comes down to choice, and personal responsibility,
our inhumanity to ourselves is about all we have control of,
if it makes no difference either way to you, but makes a better difference to someone else,
then why not?,
its either that or hold our breath,
"what a day if you can look it in the face and hold your vomit"-fnm
so yeah, plenty to ponder on the pointless,
looking around the world gives plenty of fuel for a fire,
and its nice to see a little fire sometimes, a point of light to look at, because
"if your not angry, your not paying attention"- I don't know who said that...
