That makes me think further: without a hell and eternal damnation, would people be so scared of sinning? Lots of people get away with all sorts of sins and crimes. Hmmm, in this life!
What if we do live again, reincarnated, then there might be some karma to work out. I personally favour that belief, but I am not scared of "karma" as I have not sinned terribly in this life, but have tried to be a better person day by day.
I once came across some Buddhists, and they very much liked to "be nice and kind" IN ORDER TO GET GOOD KARMA. Seems to me a fraction better than buying your way out of hell by what is it called, what the Catholic Church used to sell, and Luther protested against? Is it not INDULGENCES?
