BUT we now know they are mainly made of stuff other than ice......
like all of the ones observed by space probes


and as some have pointed out here before
SOME comets may be mainly ice
BUT the insistence that ALL comets are the icy remnants of the beginning of the solar system
is the problem

and his anti-Velikovsky stance about Venus.....
Velikovsky said Venus was hot because it was a new member of the solar system (a former comet)
Sagan said Venus couldn't be a former comet
because comets are icebergs wondering since the beginning of time
and Venus was hot because of "global warming"!!!!!!!

BUT we know now "global Warming" is bunk

So Carl is 0 for 2
