Here is the Roll Call article, linked to in The Hill article. [www.rollcall.com]
It offers more details about lost and hidden weapons in the Capitol dating back to 2015, when three different ones were lost by three different officers, none of whom were Lt. Byrd.
That’s what it means when it says “again”. Not that Lt. Byrd lost his on multiple occasions. He wasn’t repeating a habit, based on the facts we know.
His account has remained unchanged. He hasn’t spun an elaborate fairytale.
Why do you believe that he must have been a screw-up? Cuz he’s a black man?!!
Don’t forget: flawed as Lt. Byrd is, he didn’t try to invade our Capitol. Babbitt did.
He didn’t fiddle around with his weapon, he wasn’t looking for the safety, or unfamiliar with his Glock 22. Haven’t you seen the video?!?
