Two points I’d like to follow up on, about transitioning minors, as soon as the child’s parents learn they may have issues that may benefit from going to a pediatric specialist of this type, the earlier the better, because it means you don’t have to go through a male puberty and then, years later go through the hormone changes of what is, essentially, a second, female puberty.
Also, puberty blockers to delay puberty are reversible, at any point in the process, so there’s no damage done to the minor child afterward, regardless if they decide to go on with their transition or not.
The parents and the minor child remain in complete control, as they should be.
And, for those inclined to sneer at the whole idea of transitioning kids, please remember I’m not talking about a boy who tries on makeup.
