The issue is that people do not understand the meaning of the Swastika. It has been revered for millenia, long before the Nazis tried to culturally appropriate it and twist it for their own purposes (they actually mirror-imaged the original, with a terrible symbolism that indicated to mean the opposite of the original meaning.)
Swastikas on greeting cards and even on US military and govt. installations were a common sight in Europe and the US before the 1930s, and some can still be seen today - not to mention it being an eminent and sigificant symbol of Native American, Druidic, Pagan, Pre-Christian, Christian, Judaic, Hindu, Viking and Russian spirituality.
I can post more about the astronomical meaning of the swastika, why it was (and is, in some cultures) so revered, and the deep spirituality underlying the symbol if anyone is interested.
(Also how the mirror-imaged Nazi version was created to reverse the blessing into a symbol of a curse, and why.)
It is time to time to rehabilitate the original (not Nazi) symbol and restore it to the pedestal bestowed upon it by our ancestors, with good reason.
