What seems to different here, from the start, is how chill everyone is the toward each other. No shaming on streets, that toxic thing that some people live for. More than one person I've spoken to says they feel that 'we' are becoming much stronger as a result of the camaraderie.
The NHL is thinking of Vancouver as a host city for a summer league. What league wouldn't, what with our Covid19 numbers. People up here, in hockey mad Canada, are saying "maybe, but only if our health authorities approve of your plan." This even from the talking heads on local sports talk radio.
The NHL had likely been assuming that any Canadian city would kill for such an opportunity. Wrong. And that they would be able to dictate terms. Wrong. In BC anyway.
Much quiet and firm resolve.
Stay well, Eddie
