I was about 30 before I accepted the fact that I have introverted tendencies. I did the whole college party thing but was never very comfortable no matter how much I tried to be. I always wished I was home reading a book! Don't get me wrong, I'll talk your ears off especially if I know you, but I'd rather be in smaller groups.
I live in a smaller suburb of about 2,000 people and you're right--everybody knows each other and your business isn't your own!
