"after masked protesters stole an assault rifle from police,"
The new London Met commissioner has decided without consulting the London mayor to have armed police on foot, patrol urban London estates.
Firstly this is against the civil caveat that the police, police with the public consent,we have not consented to random armed police patrols
Secondly guess where the estates are and the average style of population.
Ironically this commissioner was in charge of a major incident in stockwell where she authorised shoot to kill of a terrorist suspect on a tube train. sitting on a seat, reading a paper, a Brazilian electrician was shot seven times in the head in cold blood because she gave the go-ahead. no-one was ever convicted, not one in 200+ police/suspect deaths in the UK have ever had a policeman convicted. Some are pretty bizarre.....
This is the UK concern with them on the streets, we protest well and make them think carefully for that reason, but they NEVER, never EVER get convicted.
