I have always appreciated your posts and perspectives .. regardless of your gender.
That said, I myself am of the belief that focusing on "man" or here an abbreviationj for "mankind" is ITSELF introducing sexism.. just as constantly emphasizing one's color or ethnic background to achieve "equality" in the job/economic market is itself intruducing .. aiding and augmenting.. racism.
Beyond that, including "he/she" into the english language to introduce gender equality in thoroughly unrelated conversations truly distorts the discussion, makes the english language (text) quite vulgar and unappealing and detracts from the message itself.
While the english language does not have gender neutral pronouns as other languages do, (though often these are also related to the male form) there are means to speak in the english language to reasonably be 'gender inclusive", for instance you could say "ONE might think..." etc.
However, demanding others speak in this fashion is really, to my mind, objectionable..but is part and parcel with an apparent continuation of enforced "politically correct thought" into the future... which disturbs me far, far more than "sexism."
