But academic disciplines are sometimes restrained by the blinkers of conformity and the straight jacket of imposed reason. Any thesis is a bedfellow with both theory and conclusion - but conjecture, instinct and deduction should also have valid parts to play. After all, a coin has not two, but three surfaces.
