At the very least it seems Vyse took to poetic license for his recreation of the lid of Menkaure's sarcophagus and possibly the inclusion and/or extension of a triangular border pattern. The incongruities of Vyse's depiction only further questions the sarcophagi's provenance as it once again is seemingly a one off when compared to the stone boxes found in all other OK pyramids.

Good question. Since Dynasty 0 the AE buried perfectly good boats-why? Were they inspired to do this from something they saw already there?
