Yes. Just as long as it contains the crushed red pottery.
The Romans claim to have invented the formula for this type of mortar which was a closely guarded secret. They crushed terracotta tiles. But, it appears that the builders of Kafre's pyramid may have used this type of mortar aeons before the Romans.
