am: Why do you think G2 was deliberately left unfinished?
Thanos: I don't think it was deliberate. For whatever reason it just was.
I screwed up. I meant to ask why you emphasized the middle section of your pic in referring to "unfinished".

G2 looks like it was peeled like an apple.
We need an explanation on why the section you blocked off is so different from the rest. I brought this up once, in a whimpy way, but I can't see it as being left unfinished. The difference in the layers shows it's not a viable explanation. Also, G1 doesn't have this curious 'peeling'. Something happened to G2 that didn't happen to G1. Maybe natural forces, but in any event there is an obvious difference between the two. The bottom of G2 looks more like all of G1 does. The section you blocked off has puzzled me for a long time. It seems to have been stipped methodically, in an organized step by step process. Whereas the rest of it appears crumbly, for lack of a better word, with a considerable amount of debris or what reminds me of flood residual. I'm not seeing this debris or pattern on the middle section. And if the crew walked away without finishing, I think the casing demarcation line would be even all around the pyramid. The B/W photo shows how uneven it is. The crew would have worked in stages, working their way down step by step. Not in the haphazard way the casing is now.

All of this makes me think it was finished, with more than one force stripping the casing. Which would mean it was built before G1 for G1 did not suffer the same fate.
Perhaps the answer can be found in ........ (too much Ancient Aliens)
the streaking at the top of G2.
The entire corner looks like a giant bucket of 'stuff' was poured on it. I've never seen it mentioned and I'd love to know what caused it. Now before you go on with weather effects, note that not all of the casing is streaked.
I'd also like to know what could have caused so much damage to the casing, missing stones, damaged stones. You'll probably say earthquake, but I don't think so.
Has anyone noticed that the top stone in the upper left corner was pried out?

And the center stones were moved. Too bad part of the picture is in shadow.
