The ONLY evidence I've seen that has been presented as possible evidence of iron in ancient Egypt are the brown stains in the "boat pits" in front of G1 -- but not a single shard of rusty iron was found -- and also the decayed plate found at the outer opening of the south (?) KC "air shaft" discovered during Vyse's "Operations" which, ironically, orthodox Egyptology refuses to assign provenance to the 4D.
