OK, purpose of this thread is to discuss the technological capabilities of the early dynastic and pre dynastic ancient egyptians, up until the 4th dynasty.
For the purposes of this thread I'll define technology.
"The application of a technique"... Flint napping is a technology.
Doesn't have to be high technology..
So what were they capable of, What materials did they have, where is the evidence, Does the hypothesis stand up to experimentation and math. What experiments have been carried out.???
I would be particularly interested in contributions from scientists and engineers or those related to engineering or working in engineering, manufacturing, production, construction, industry.
Anyone, from a theoretical scientist to a blacksmith. And I don't see that as a hierarchy. (Theoretical scientists also have a value :)))
Armchair historians also welcome..
