"Since Calendar Round dates repeat every 18,980 days, approximately 52 solar years, the cycle repeats roughly once each lifetime, so a more refined method of dating was needed if history was to be recorded accurately. To specify dates over periods longer than 52 years, Mesoamericans used the Long Count calendar."

[en.wikipedia.org]

The calendar round of 52 solar years based on the Haab 365 day cycle. The Calendar Round is 18,980 days.

18980 Calendar Round days divide it by 365 solar years (Haab) = exactly 52 years

or 365 x 52 = 18980 days

Now this can't be done with the Gregorian calendar...

18980 Calendar Round days divide it by 365.2425 solar years =
51.965 years

or 365.2425 x 52 (Haab solar calendar round) = 18992 days

As you can see above, the Gregorian calculation is completely off from the Haab solar Calendar Round!
