Martin, surely you know darn well the Vyse story is problematic according to any objective standard: dwindling funding, intense competition to catch-up to Belzoni, desperate need of a significant discovery, saturation bombing G1 with gun powder archeology, obsession with firing the world-class Caviglia, sequestering his "discovery" to late night secrecy...
No other discovery comes close to such high-stakes intrigue and controversy, and yet you are so willing to give Vyse a free pass while you paradoxically require everyone else to bend over backwards to substantiate the smallest claim against him.
Quite frankly, it appears you are applying a double standard.
