This is consistent with your fabrications overall. Also your very poor grasp of inference.
Repeat with amplification:
This is not “the Allen family account”. There is no such account. The Brewer/Allen family tradition is less than entirely consistent and parts of it are certainly false.
It is one family member’s account: Walter M. Allen’s. I have seen no evidence to date of other family members telling this story about Vyse.
Your calling this “the Allen family account” is all of a piece with your other misrepresentations.

Fallacy of many questions. You don’t know what I thought in the 1990s. You don’t know what I think now.
Try not to be entirely stupid. The “logbook” material wasn’t released until 2007. Lacking a time machine, I was scarcely going to ask Walter about it. Neither was I going to charge in with questions about what Sitchin had said, without knowing first exactly what Walter had said.
My contact with the Allens in 1997 was entirely exploratory. I did not raise the question of Sitchin’s claims at all. Neither did they.
When I talked to Lois and Walter in 1997, I discovered that Walter was effectively blind and Lois not much better. Neither was in good health. In no way one earth was I going to drag two frail old people into a potentially acrimonious public debate about the Vyse issue. I discontinued the contact.

What evidence do you have that he didn’t? What evidence do you have that this document even existed before 1983? Sorry, Creighton, but if you’re going to offer this material as evidence, it’s up to you to establish its bona fides. Can you? I’ve yet to see one scrap of justification from you for the way you’ve arbitrarily placed this text beyond question, when so many others are being questioned, sometimes on the basis of this one.
But here’s a small hint for you: there are problems with the story told by Walter Allen which you haven’t even yet begun to consider.
