MS: Scott Creighton discovers the crime of the century. Vyse knew (by 16 June 1837) what the cartouche of “Suphis” looked like.
SC: Indeed. For now he had additional information he believed he needed to correct the crime he had earlier committed around 27th May. Now (around 16th June) he adds three lines to the blank disc of the cartouche he had placed previously in the chamber. And just in time to update Mr Hill's facsimile drawing of it before it goes off to London (unverified by any independent witness).
Lucky old Vyse.
