AM: And why would Vyse need to be IN England to know of it's contents ? Vyse was already in the British Museum circle, amongst others.
SC: Do we need to trouble ourselves with Wilkinson, Rosellini, etc? It is patently obvious from Vyse's own journal that he knew at the time (or believed he knew) what the Suphis [aka Khufu] cartouche looked like.

SC: Vyse would have to know what the Suphis/Khufu cartouche looked like in order to know of any differences. He knew. We just don't know HOW he knew. But does it really matter?
